Your chance to have your say

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 by Kim Bolsover

Over these last few weeks where I’ve had to take time out to rest and recuperate, this has given me a chance to do some deep thinking about what I’m going to be doing in my business in 2012.

  • Should I run a live event?
  • Maybe I should expand my mentoring opportunities?
  • Perhaps I should run an Image Academy for 6 months, or even a year?

I could do so many different things – create new products, design new training courses, update the old faithfuls… The list could easily be as long as your arm but with only 5 weeks left of 2011, I really must start whittling down the options.

You probably realise that I’m a bit of a drama queen and, from time to time, I just have to get out there and drarm (just say it out loud and it will start to make sense):

  • To drarm, or not to drarm?
  • There is no question!

So I thought you might be able to help me with this.

Please fill in my 3-question surveyWhat do YOU want?

This is your opportunity to have your say, to let me know exactly how I can help you and what you want.

Please help me to help you by answering 3 simple questions. Blether on for England if you want to, or just tick a box here and there if you prefer.

This online survey will take you a couple of minutes at the most. And thanks in advance most muchly!

Do you look gangrenous in orange red?

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011 by Kim Bolsover

“Dear Kim, I loved your newsletter this week especially the list of comparison drapes to determine warm and cool.

What are the numbers in the list? Where can I get them? Can I get these drapes from you? How do I use them?

I love color and had mine analyzed about 20 years ago. I’m Spring so does that mean I’m Warm?

It made such a difference to my life, and my closet. I have always wanted to do this for friends. How can I learn more about warm and cool? Maybe I can earn some money too and turn my dream into a career.

I’ve asked too many questions, I know. I’m sorry about that. Please advise me what to do. Thank you. Shelley

Dear Shelley,

You can never ask too many questions!

I’m so glad that my article has fired you up like this. That’s why I write them!

Drapes and how to use them

The numbers in the list are the drape numbers that we supply via our colour supplies wholesale catalogue.

For instance, if you want to use reds to find out if your client (or friend) is warm or cool, then try these:

  • Compare drape # 9 Orange Red (warm) with
drape # 2 Light Blue Red (cool)

Which one makes your client look absolutely gorgeous? If your client is predominantly Cool, then Light Blue Red will make her look healthy and my guess is that she will look rather gangrenous in Orange Red.

You, on the other hand, are predominantly Warm so you will probably look pretty good in Orange Red. However, you will probably go a ghastly shade of grey when Light Blue Red is held near your face.

You can try all 5 comparisons to make sure, or stop when you and your client are convinced one way or the other.

How to get these drapes

You can get any or all of these drapes from our wholesale catalogue. You could order just these 10x drapes if you want; there are no minimum orders.

You can order Colour Analysis in a Box with or without the colour suppliesHowever, if you’re thinking seriously of turning your dream into a career, then you can choose to include a full set of colour supplies when you order Colour Analysis in a Box.

I know what it’s like when you first start out. You’ve no idea which drapes you’re going to need so I’ve already worked it all out and put a starter set together for you which comes as part of the Complete Colour Analysis Training Kit.  You’ll get:

  • 4 seasonal swatch fans – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter
  • 6 safe tonal swatch fans – Warm, Cool, Deep, Light, Bright and Muted
  • 1 cover-up cape
  • 1 colour wheel
  • 62 drapes
    • 8x reds, 8x blues, 8x greens, 8x pinks
    • 4x blue/greens, 4x purples, 4x yellows
    • 4x lightest neutrals and 12x darkest neutrals
    • 1x each gold and silver

This set provides ALL the comparison drape combinations that I mentioned in my newsletter. I did that deliberately so that you shouldn’t ever need to buy any more as it caters for all 4 seasons, all 6 tones, and all the combinations of those that you can think of.

And don’t forget, when you order Colour Analysis in a Box (with or without the colour supplies) by Sunday, you’ll get a complimentary copy of my 6-DVD training course Advanced Colour Analysis for Image Professionals.

As this normally sells for GBP 497 (USD 777), even if you just put this on a shelf for now, you’ll have all this fabulous information to watch and learn from a few months down the road.

You’ll kick yourself if you miss this amazing offer now.

Go for it!

As you obviously love colour so much, then I want to encourage you to go for your dream.

I don’t want you to get to the grand old age of 87 and find you sitting in an old people’s home, staring out at the rain with a blanket round your shoulders, muttering manically, “If only I’d followed my dream and learned colour analysis…” That’s just too awful to contemplate so please go for it, right now!

Before you know it, you’ll have a new career helping your friends with their own colour analysis and they, too, can look and feel as confident as you do. And you could be making extra money in time for a fabulous Christmas too!

You asked for my advice so here it is

When you feel strongly about something, you should always follow your gut instincts. They’re always right.

And, until someone can conclusively prove otherwise, I’ll go with the ‘You’re only here once’ theory. So for goodness’ sake, build the life of your dreams NOW.

It would be dreadful if you live to regret NOT going for it, and I absolutely refuse to visit you in that old people’s home – far too depressing to even think about!

Sorry to be so bossy but you DID ask!
