Be Kind to Yourself
Be kind to yourself as the New Year gets under way
If you’ve been succumbing to that old temptation of making a New Year’s resolution (or maybe more than one?), then stop it immediately. The odds on you seeing through whatever it is you have determined to change this year are hopelessly against you.
If you’ve imbibed too much over the holiday period and discovered some rather worrying extra bits of flesh that you didn’t know you had, then you’ve probably already resolved to stick to a diet and are desperately stocking the fridge up with all those ghastly diet-y things that taste of absolutely nothing (or worse) and leave you feeling even more hungry than before. Or perhaps you’ve shelled out loads of dosh on a gym membership that you may use three or four times (if you’re lucky) before you realise that you hate, loathe and detest exercise and crash out on the sofa like you used to!
Both of these scenarios will make you feel more and more exasperated with yourself, guiltier than sin, and ultimately fatter as you start to comfort-eat to replace the horrid feelings of desperation.
So, just don’t do it!
Now is the time to be kind to yourself and accept what has happened. It’s hardly life-threatening, is it? So, ease up on yourself and stop whittling. There is always an answer but maybe you need to calm down a bit first and take the time to look for the right one for you.
First of all, I would recommend that you learn to dress to make the most of yourself. Learn how to disguise your wobbly bits and flaunt those fabulous eyes, or shoulders, or bosom, or whatever it is that you have that the rest of the world deserves to enjoy.
My eBooks will sort you out quickly and painlessly:
- Learn how I discovered the best way for me to eat and how my other half needs exactly the opposite kinds of foods from me to retain a slim silhouette
- Read the story of Jane who was (and still is) a UK size 22 and always looks absolutely fantastic
- Identify which colours are the best for you, how to choose the right clothes, hairstyle, jewellery and make-up for your colouring and body shape, and how to look fabulous every day.
And while you’re assimilating these positive changes, you’ll be discovering exactly what it is that you want to improve, and you can then investigate exactly how to do that for YOUR benefit – not the benefit of some sales-figures-motivated editor of a magazine or newspaper that has published an article about the latest fad diet for the general population.
How many times do I have to say this? You are NOT general. You are completely and utterly unique, and you should treat yourself with the respect due to you.
Here’s a few confidence-building tips
to help get you started:
- Wear your best colours near your face and you will look fabulous
- Wearing a pattern on the bottom half only draws attention to the hips!
- V-necks and U-necklines are slimming
- To look slimmer, dress from head to toe in one colour, and add a long scarf or necklace to draw the eye downwards
- Keep the attention up near your face (and away from the wide bits!) – ensure that your hair and make-up are in tip-top condition throughout the day, every day
- Smile!
