Moritz Discontinued

Thursday, July 31st, 2008 by Kim Bolsover

Many image consultants in the UK, and perhaps Europe, have been using Moritz colour coded make-up since the Ark was built. The sad news is that this range is being discontinued.

But panic not!

If you are looking for a replacement range, JFC which was launched on 6th July 2008.

Suggested make-up for a Summer lady: Amethyst lipstick, Dusty Rose lipstick, Cyclamen blusher in a refillable compact with sable brush, Bisque silk foundation, Cherry lipstick

Designed by image consultants for image consultants around the concepts of Cool vs. Warm with a consistent supply of colours

Available virtually anywhere in the world

In other words, you will be able to buy the same Fiesta lipstick 5 years from now, unlike the mainstream cosmetics houses in the High Street who change their range every few months to keep up with the latest fashions.

Wholesale buyer?

Rather than blether on here for England, you can read all about the colours, the starter kit, retail and wholesale prices, great discounts and commissions, free training, and how to register as a wholesale buyer. Neil has added some great photos for you to pore over, too.

Retail buyer?

You can order online for delivery direct to your door, virtually anywhere in the world. Check the full list here.

The majority of products are still available and I am keeping an up-to-date list. For instance, 7 eyeshadows have already disappeared but I know that more products will go from August.

You may want to stockpile your favourite lipstick / eyeshadow so you’d better get your orders in now.

JFC saves the day

I went to pick my own JFC kit up last Monday and attended the free 2-hour training course. Even after 28 years in this business, I still learnt loads and I love this new range. I’ve added a section all about what I think – for what it’s worth – so have a read and make your own mind up.

The Perm (Part Two)

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 by Kim Bolsover

We had to re-schedule the original appointment booked for last week as the semi-permanent perm that Scott Cornwall recommended to my hairdresser, Richard, was proving a little difficult to find.

Everyone was assuming that I was worried, apprehensive, concerned about the perm itself. Nothing could be further from the truth.  I used to have perms all the time in the 80s.  It was having to have ‘before and after’ photos taken that really got to me.  I loathe having my photo taken.

Richard didn’t use normal perm rollers as he reckoned they’d produce far too curly hair and he only did the top and the sides, banking on the natural wave in my own hair at the bottom to ‘weave’ naturally into the permed bits.

Well, even Richard was shocked. I won’t quote his actual expression here, as it was a little blunt and very northern, but suffice it to say that he hadn’t expected this semi-permanent perm to take at all, and there were clearly some very natural-looking curls.

Instead of pulling and tweaking it with a brush and hairdryer into my normal style, Richard decided to just dry it off with a diffuser and I ended up with incredible curls all over.  We were both surprised with how naturally curly the bit that he hadn’t permed proved to be when dried this way.

Before
After
Rollers and semi-permanent perm were applied to this cut After the perm. Only the top and sides (to about top of my ears) was actually permed

I love it.  I now need to try styling it in different ways to see how it stands up to normal day-to-day abuse, and I’m off to buy a new hairdryer with a diffuser.  Now all I need is for Dynasty-style shoulder pads to make a full come-back, and I shall be very happy!

Email Richard Clarke if you would like more information about how he could help you with your own hair.
