How does it work?

  • You don't need to hold any stock.
  • We ship direct to your customer from the UK warehouse, worldwide.
  • We pay you a commission on each successful sale of a qualifying product.

You set up a web page, or email newsletter campaign, and you use a special link in your marketing that your prospect clicks, a special URL provided in your affiliate account that...

  • Takes your customer to our product website,
  • Processes the order and payment through our checkout system,
  • Calculates your commission and records it in your affiliate account, and
  • We produce a packing slip for our UK warehouse for packing / shipping.
  • We issue a tracking number to the customer, and most importantly,
  • We take full responsibility for customer care and backup support.

 

We provide your customers with backup support

The majority of the product price is the cost to us providing the backup support. We don't just sell a box and move on, we provide all the help required to the trainee during and after their learning process, primarily by email, but also by telephone, and also through the provision of additional resources and materials as we create them and update them.

So the customer not only gets a pack of DVDs, CDs and a training manual, they also get training manual updates, new handouts, and a subscription to a consultants-only newsletter that we only send to our trainees, a newsletter full of consultant tips, questions and answers, and we also answer individual questions from trainees, with theoretically no limit on how many times a customer can request help. It's quite a commitment.

As an affiliate, you don't need to worry about any of these commitments. It is our responsibility to provide the post-sales service essential to any worthwhile training system.

 

Exchange rates and special deals?

We are often asked what we can do for international customers with poor currency exchange rates. Is special pricing available? No, this isn't an option. We could work on cut-price deals for currencies such as the US, Canadian and Australian dollar for example, but to us that doesn't just mean less profit on the DVD pack, it means we are de-valuing the time spent helping trainees individually in their businesses. The ongoing backup service and support that we offer your clients is the unique selling proposition so focus your marketing on the quality of the product, the quality of the service, and the quality of the backup support.

 

Publishing product pricing

When you display your product pricing you need to show your local currency, Canadian Dollars for example, but you need to make it clear that the product is shipped directly from the publisher in the UK and will be charged in Pounds Sterling.

The tricky part is dealing with the exchange rates. Even if your web designer can create a page with pricing which is updated automatically with the day's exchange data, that's not necessarily the exchange rate that the card issuer will use when converting Pounds Sterling to Canadian Dollars on the customer's card statement. So you need to ensure your clients understand product pricing. Something for you to think about before embarking on your marketing campaign. Maybe it's better not to publish the pricing in your marketing and leave our website to deal with those issues for you?

What are the shipping costs?

We subsidise the shipping costs. The shipping is free to all customers.

The DVD package is shipped internationally by DHL (or similar) so there is a tracking number the customer can use on the carrier's website to see the status of their delivery. Obviously the carrier will ship all around the world so if you have potential customers in the USA or Canada for example, that isn't a problem. In fact any customer worldwide that comes across your website can purchase and we ship it to that country. There are countries that we are a little nervous about but it's our responsibility not yours to check that the order is genuine. We usually telephone each customer to confirm details before despatch.

 

What are the delivery times?

How quickly are your customer sales converted into product delivery at the customer's door?
Worldwide delivery is usually achieved within 5 to 10 working days.

 

Product Pricing

All product pricing is set by Kielder Computers Ltd and it's not possible for affiliates to offer independent pricing or discounts. Kielder Computers Ltd offer promotional pricing and run special marketing campaigns from time to time. Obviously any price change or promotional discount directly affects affiliate commission payout amount.
